We are so lucky to be surrounded by talented people. In response to a press release, Ian Jenkins got in touch offering to laser scan our church! He had recently started his own Reality Capture business - ijenko - laser scanning and photographing to create 3D digital models. He's created some amazing models of buildings, mines and landscapes.
Ian created this flythrough model of the building so everyone can see the whole space - tower, views, gallery, even the roof void above the nave!
"I CAN SCAN MOST THINGS WITH THE KIT I HAVE. FROM SMALL OBJECTS TO WHOLE LANDSCAPES. THE WHOLE THING IS CAPTURED AS A MOMENT IN TIME."
Using a 360 degree camera, Ian created this tour of the church from the very top of the tower through to the church yard.
This is a mobile Laser scan of the disused structures up on Titterstone Clee. They show in amazing detail the current state of the scars left by years of quarrying.
3D scans made of a Bronze Age axe head and a Squacco Heron both discovered on Titterstone Clee. Scanned at the Ludlow Museum Resource Centre by Ian Jenkins of iJenko.
A fly through tour around Titterstone Clee behind the church. Different types of scan reveal the workings of the quarries, the radar domes and prehistoric features. Produce by Ian Jenkins of iJenko for the Beacon on the Hill project.
An extended edit of all the scans produced by Ian Jenkins during the Beacon on the Hill project. The film shows the quarry workings, the radar domes, the church and mine locations across the hill.
